Group Training, Tutoring & Freelance Work

I provided one-to-one tutoring and group training in research design, data collection and data analysis. This includes training in Excel, SPSS and data visualization software. I also do freelance work and provide consultation and advice to students, businesses and other organizations using data for any kind of project. I can provide short-term training, long-term courses, or help with specific tasks and projects.

What I offer

I provide group training, tutoring and freelance work in the following areas:

I offer Excel training at three levels. These are beginner, intermediate and advanced. I can also cater for mixed level groups, or I can give a bespoke course depending on your industry and the tasks you will be using Excel for. This is often very useful because I not only help people to improve their Excel skills, but I can also come up with better ways of working and save you time on common tasks.

I usually teach Excel and Powerpoint as a 5-hour course (1 day), but can design this to meet your needs.

 

Academic Students

If you are an undergraduate or postgraduate student, I can help with quantitative and qualitative methodology, data analysis and academic writing.

Professional Projects

If you are working in business or on a specific project, I am good at designing efficient ways of recording and using data. Not only can I teach you how to do things yourself, but can also set you on the right course with initial setup and procedures, so that you can save time and work more efficiently.

 

My Experience

I have provided training in Excel, SPSS and other data analysis tools to businesses and organizations, across a range of industries. So far I have given group training and provided one-to-one tutoring and project work for several hundered people.

I have an undergraduate degree in psychology (BSc) and a Master’s degree in Social Sciences Research (MSc). I have worked on multiple academic research projects exploring topics relating to psychology, forensics and social sciences.

I have previously taught research methods and analysis at Coventry University in the UK, as part of their psychology and social sciences courses. As a private tutor I have helped students to improve their understanding of statistics and data analysis. I have also helped with research design, data analysis, report writing and proofreading for academic dissertations and PhD papers.

I have worked as a consultant on local and national government research projects, exploring topics relating to education, justice and health. This has included work for local councils and the UK government Department for Justice and Department for Education.

For one-to-one training and tutoring I charge by the hour. For group training the cost will depend on the size of the group and the skills involved. Contact me for the latest prices.

I offer big discounts for group training or for larger projects.

  • Standard hourly rate = £40 per hour
  • Booking 4+ hours in advance = £35 per hour
  • Booking 10+ hours in advance = £30 per hour
  • Group training = £300 for a 5-hour course (Excel, Powerpoint)

I offer a free 30 minute consultation call to all new clients. This is so that I can find out more about what you need, and I can also provide advice.
